Optimism is a positive attitude, even when times are tough. It’s the knowledge that everything will work out in the end, it’s the spark in life and the road to happiness. The power of positive thinking and an optimistic attitude go hand in hand when it comes to our well-being.
Learning how to become more optimistic has been a hard journey for me. I am constantly going through stages of great optimism and gratitude and then falling back into my old pessimist habits. Each time I fall back it takes time again to try again to get back up again. This blog was started by my optimistic self who finally decided to get out there and give it a go. After many months putting it off because all I could see was what could be a failure I have found the courage to give it a go. To be successful it is going to take a whole lot of work, trying not to fall back into my old pessimist habits, quitting as things get tough an always talking myself down. As each day goes by I am learning of new ways to help myself become more optimistic and change my attitude to a more positive one. As this all is still a work in progress, I would love to share with you a few ways in which I help myself keep positive.
How do you stay optimistic in tough situations?

Lately I have found myself too busy caught up in what I think I need to do, trying to push my 3 year old to play by herself even though all she has wanted is for me to play or even just watch. In the evening when thinking back on the day I always feel a little sad about it. The more she would play up and annoy me the more I would tell her to go away and play, too busy to stop and just take it in, knowing that what I was doing could wait yet I wouldn’t let it wait I left her to wait. I go through phases of this and when things get to much like today I do just stop and take it in like I should be. There she is happy as knowing I’m there , playing in the sandpit while I write this. Knowing all she wants is a bit of my time, it sounds easy but in reality we all sometimes get to tied up and busy when really we need to just stop and take in what’s around us. So often I forget the total Bliss of just sitting back and taking in what she is doing, the gorgeous weather today also helped to motivate me just a little! I have found it is so important for our own well being as mothers to make sure we leave time just to ‘be’ I’m sure those niggling jobs can wait just one day!
Hi!!
Thought I would share a little about myself before I get started. As a new mother I always wanted the best for my family (as you do). This is where I began to make the changes to a more natural, holistic life style. During my journey I found a company selling natural skin care (more on that to come). The people I have meet through this have inspired me in ways I never thought. This new journey has also bought me back to the art which I love and would love to share with you all when I'm ready. So finally here I am in a place where I would love to share with you my art, inspiration and passions. As well as a little on my parenting journey and maybe a few sneaky recipes. Enjoy Sarah x |
